The Trail Cameras feature in onX Hunt allows you to organize and optimize your trail cameras in the same place where you do the rest of your scouting. Give each Trail Camera a unique name, set its location on your map, and show which direction it's facing. Upload photos from your Trail Camera into onX Hunt using the Web Map on your computer.

Adding Trail Cameras in the onX Hunt App
Tap the Tools button at the bottom of the screen.
Tap "Add Trail Camera."
Add information about your camera to help you identify it later. Fields marked with a red star (*) are required. The color selection changes the color of the pin marking the location of the trail camera on your map.
When you're done adding information, tap "Next."
If you haven't set up your trail camera in the field yet, tap "Not in Field," then tap "Save."
If you already set up your trail camera in the field, tap "In Field," and tap the location on your map where you set up the camera. You can add a name for the location to make the camera easier to find later. You can also add a direction the camera is facing. When you're done, tap "Save."
Viewing and moving Trail Cameras in the onX Hunt App
Tap the Trail Cameras button at the bottom of the main screen. NOTE: the Trail Cameras button will not be visible until you add at least one trail camera.
Tap the trail camera you want to view or move.
To view photos you've uploaded to the camera, tap the "Photos" tab. You can upload photos to Trail Cameras using the onX Hunt Web Map.
To change the location of the trail camera pin on your map, tap the "Move" button at the bottom of the screen.
If you're taking the trail camera out of the field entirely, tap the "Store" button.
To remove the trail camera entirely, tap the "Archive" button.
Whenever you change the batteries or SD card, tap "Update" and select the date you changed them to help you keep track.
To review changes you've made to this trail camera in the past, tap "History."
Adding Trail Cameras in the onX Hunt Web Map
Click the Trail Cameras button on the left side of the screen.
Click "Add Trail Camera."
If you haven't set up your trail camera in the field yet, click "Not in Field," then click "Save."
If you already set up your trail camera in the field, click "In Field," and click and drag the trail camera pin to the location on your map where you set up the camera. You can add a name for the location to make the camera easier to find later. You can also add a direction the camera is facing. When you're done, click "Save."

Click the Trail Cameras button on the left side of the screen.
Click the trail camera you want to view, edit, or move.
To view photos you've uploaded to the camera, click the "Photos" tab.
To change the location of the trail camera pin on your map, click the "Move" button at the bottom of the screen.
If you're taking the trail camera out of the field entirely, click the "Store" button.
To remove the trail camera entirely, click the "Archive" button.

To edit the trail camera's nickname, brand, model, type, details, and pin color, click the pencil icon at the top of the menu.
When you're done making your changes, click the "Save" button.
Uploading photos to your Trail Cameras in the onX Hunt Web Map
Click the Trail Cameras button on the left side of the screen.
Click the trail camera you want to upload photos to.
Click the "Upload" button.
Select the files from your computer to upload. After uploading photos to a Trail Camera, you can see them by viewing the Trail Camera and clicking the "Photos" tab.
