What do the colors mean?
It's a good idea to spend some time becoming familiar with the various colors and land types.
- Areas are color-coded based on which Government agency manages them.
- The colors may vary by state, and may look slightly different on some GPS units.
- Areas with no color-coded designation are Private Property.
- If there is any question as to the status of a certain area, it's always best to check with your local game warden or county surveyor's office.
