onX’s Mapping Team Poured Over Satellite Pictures to Map Over 16,000 Prairie Dog Towns in 12 States.
These maps are an essential tool for prairie dog hunters, and display icons on every prairie dog town in the US. The layer covers 12 states that have prairie dog towns: Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
What does it look like on the map?
At a nationwide view you will see a heat map of prairie dog concentrations.
Zooming in, the prairie dog icons will appear in clusters, indicating the population density of towns in that area. Overlay this layer with the public or private lands layers to plan your next prairie dog trip.
