If you like using Google Earth for scouting, you can now use the import tool to get your waypoints, lines, and shapes from Google Earth into your onX account and view it on your phone while in the field. In Google Earth, these mark-ups are referred to as placemarks, polygons, and paths.
1. Using the tools in Google Earth, create placemarks, polygons, and/or paths, and organize your data into a single folder to save all at once.
2. Right-click on the folder or content and choose “Save Place As.” You may also save each placemark, polygon, or path individually.
3. The "Save File..." menu will appear. Save the file to a location where you will be able to find it later. By default, the file will be named the same as the folder in Google Earth, or the name of the individual placemark, polygon, or path.
4. Make sure that the file saved correctly on your computer before deleting the data out of Google Earth.
