Find out if your GPS is compatible and try a few troubleshooting steps to get it working. Click here to view our list of compatible GPS devices.
- Update the software on your GPS. Remove the onX Hunt Chip from your GPS before you update your Garmin software. Click here to install Garmin's WebUpdater program and update your GPS.
- Check to see if the brass contacts on your Chip have corroded to the point where the GPS or computer can no longer read it.
- Remove the onX Hunt Chip from your GPS or computer.
- Clean the brass contacts on the back of the Chip with a dry cloth or paper towel.
- Reinstall the onX Hunt Chip to see if it's working.
- Try a factory reset on your GPS. Consult your owner's manual for factory reset instructions. Resetting your GPS will delete the Waypoints, Lines, Shapes, and Tracks from your GPS. Click here to learn how to a back-up of this information.
If you try the steps above and your onX Hunt Chip is still not working, the problem may be the GPS device. Try testing the onX Hunt Chip in another GPS device or computer.
